Busy Hour by Marianna October 2018
I laugh, I joke, I play around
the busy days are the reason why I'm around
the days of working, fighting, staying up late
those busy days that keep me awake
I smile, I talk, I hold back my frown
the busy hour is what keeps me down
the hour that I don't have to face myself
that busy hour that I can fill my hollow shell
but the time comes when I'm no longer busy
my loneliness is the only thing that stays with me
that time that I turn into a void of nothingness
when it's only me, my sorrow and my emptiness
Contemplation:
The first line talks about youthfulness and liveliness.
The second line speaks of age and weakness.
The third line reckons death and quietness.
In summary being busy varies with time of life.
I'm seriously Busy by Lukuloon April 2010
I didn't lie to you, When I said I'm busy,
Maybe in a way only I could understand,
I was actually busy converting oxygen to carbondioxide in my Lungs,
I was busy trying to please my creator and wondering if heaven is real,
I was busy wondering, why religion is the major cause of pain today,
I was busy thinking about how I could meet the Aristotle's within my peers,
I was busy planning how to escape the current mess I found myself trapped in,
I was busy putting off negativity and others trivial opinion of me,
Sometimes this is my busy and I'm unapologetic about it.
Contemplation:
People's idea of being busy varies with what they are concerned about.
The Busy Man by Robert William Service
This crowded life of God's good giving
No man has relished more than I;
I've been so goldarned busy living
I've never had the time to die.
So busy fishing, hunting, roving,
Up on my toes and fighting fit;
So busy singing, laughing, loving,
I've never had the time to quit.
I've never been one for thinking
I've always been the action guy;
I've done my share of feasting, drinking,
And lots of wenching on the sly.
What all the blasted cosmic show meant,
I've never tried to understand;
I've always lived just for the moment,
And done the thing that came to hand.
And now I'll toddle to the garden
And light a good old Henry Clay.
I'm ninety odd, so Lord, please pardon
My frequent lapses by the way.
I'm getting tired; the sunset lingers;
The evening star serenes the sky;
The damn cigar burns to my fingers . . .
I guess . . . I'll take . . . time off . . . to die.
Contemplation:
Being busy also means living for the moment.
Busy Life by Aishwarya Premkumar
I sat in a corner
Deeply thinking
About mysteries in life.
Stress and tension
Swallowing our time.
Life in rush
With no peaceful mind.
And guilt making man
Go crazy.
Complications beginning as dropped
Into the mother land;
Days and months pass by
Without any happy moments....
We blink and wink
With problems near
Enveloping in fear.
Leading a miserable life
Indeed! .....
Burdens, burdens in every part
No time even to enjoy.
Pains filling heart
Trapping out joy.
Our thoughts full of
Work, Goal and Success..
where is happiness?
Find it
It is within you............
Contemplation:
One who is busy is also one whose heart is filled with work, goal and success.
I am very busy these days by Kumarmani Mahakul 15, February 2018
I am very busy these days,
Time says and nature says,
I say, "I am very busy again."
Still I remember you rightly,
Gently touching vibrant wind,
Tenderly catching light ray,
Reading every poem written,
Through a powerful mind of joy,
With glitter of golden grass,
I say, "I am very much busy."
I am busy, but I have time for you,
I adore your creation and light,
Walking very smoothly on Earth,
Still I remember you dear God,
To unite with you I search path,
Green mind perceives your grace,
I am very busy, Still I remember.
Contemplation:
Be busy but reference God.
Too Busy by Theresa Ann Moore March 13, 2008
Excuses are never in low supply
Sorry, I did not call you
I could not find the time
I had a thousand things to do
Heard you were not feeling well
Meant to send a card the other day
Went shopping to buy a pair of shoes
Had several appointments…what can I say?
Got an invitation to go to dinner party
I looked around but did not see you there
Saw a mutual friend and inquired about you
Oh poor soul… she fell down the stairs…
I must call or visit… I promptly blurted
Our friend said, I have something more to say
Her injuries were quite severe and deadly
Unfortunately she passed away just yesterday
Contemplation:
Be busy but care for others.
