Beautiful and blessed.
Blessed with natural resources,
Blessed with people of great talents,
Blessed with greatness
Blessed with fame.
Fame fell and brought shame
Gains went and left pains
Bring back the greatness!
Bring back Nigeria!
Bring back the fame!
Bring back independence!
Bring back sovereignty!
Bring back opportunities
Look at the past and compare with the present.
The labour of our heroes past is now in vain
The slap on the face came from the choices we made
The slap on the face came from the greed cooking in the hearts of our leaders
1960, 1st of October brought joy,
It made us independent
It made us confident
Democracy prevailed and
In glory we sailed.
Beautiful cultures,
Wonderful structures,
Inspiring lectures,
But look at the vultures
They have captured the pictures
They stole our fame and independence
They stole our gains and confidence
They stole the sovereignty
They rejected commands
They worked without our support
They threw away our cultures
They left us as slaves
Our fatherland has been destroyed
Let's hold up the labour of our past heroes
Let's bring back the then Nigeria
Let's build up the better Nigeria
Let's listen to gospels and work with our morals
Let's look back at our cultures and traditions.
Bring back religious tolerance
Bring back the respect we earned
Bring back agriculture for export
Bring up a good leader
Bring back the independent Nigeria who is divine.
